One-level, in a pink bento I almost never use anymore (I forgot I had it – that’s how many bentos I’ve hoarded over the years, lol!) is some lovely pasta salad tossed with tomatoes and Mrs. Dash, broiled li’l smokies and mixed salad greens.
Older bento I made for my sister, I can’t remember if I posted this one or not. Octopus hotdogs with a little cup of mustard, spinach & green beans with ham stars.
A very simple single-layer bento of roasted chicken (with sea salt and that dark stuff is Mrs. Dash, all you need!), steamed sticky rice (reheated beneath the roasting chicken as it cooked, which made it scrumptious) and a little container of home-made BBQ sauce.
Some yummy pasta salad with peas and carrots mixed in, and chunky potato chowder on the top level. BBQ pulled pork, roasted squash, cauliflower, broccoli and carrots covered be blossoms cheese cutouts on the bottom. <3 Pardon the condensation, the food was steamy when it went into the fridge!
Lovely Calrose rice, steamed, and some grilled up broccoli, cauliflower and Li’l Smokies. My dessert is some yummy watermelon and mango sakura blossoms. <3 This is my Rilakkuma bento, which is one of my favorites and hasn’t yet been added to the bento collection page.
Today’s bento is sans rice and I opted for some simple pasta salad, instead. Broccoli, cauliflower and a couple of sakura carrot chips. It’s just frozen veggies and not even very pretty but it made me smile, anyway. 🙂
